With the large difference of price my current buyers are paying for homes compared to the previous owner, I am often asked by my buyers "What is the amount of property tax I will be paying if I purchase this home?"
I came across a helpful page on the State of Michigan's Department of Treasury website, which will show future owners the answer to that question, using the property tax estimator. The only figure that is needed is the current state equalized value (S.E.V.) which will sometimes be different from when it was originally listed for sale. The current (S.E.V.) can usually be found on the respective county's website that you're considering to purchase in.
